Indonesia: Death Toll Rises to 36 After School Building Collapse

Authorities have announced that the debris removal work is expected to be completed by Monday.

Jakarta: In Indonesia’s Java Island, the death toll has risen to 36 following the collapse of a school building. Rescue efforts to remove the debris continued into the seventh day.

According to foreign media reports, 27 students remain trapped under the rubble, and search operations are ongoing. Officials stated that the use of heavy machinery to safely extract survivors was delayed.
