India’s Rohit Sharma Breaks Shahid Afridi’s Long-Standing Sixes World Record in ODIs
Rohit’s total in ODIs has now reached 352 sixes, achieved in 269 innings.
ISLAMABAD: Indian batter Rohit Sharma has broken a long-standing world record in One Day International (ODI) cricket by hitting 352 sixes, surpassing former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi’s record of 351 sixes.
The milestone was achieved during the first ODI of the ongoing series against South Africa, where Rohit Sharma, opening the innings, scored 57 runs, including 3 sixes.
With these three sixes, Rohit’s total in ODIs has now reached 352 sixes, achieved in 269 innings.

Previously, the record belonged to Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi, who hit 351 sixes in 369 innings. West Indies’ former power-hitter Chris Gayle stands third on the list with 331 sixes.
Rohit’s achievement marks a major milestone in modern ODI cricket, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most explosive batters in the game.
