Indian movie ‘Abir Gulaal’ banned in Pakistan: Here’s why!

Satish Anand says that ban had caused significant losses for filmmakers

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has also banned movie ‘Abir Gulaal’ after India, starring actors Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor.

According to Sisasat, senior Pakistani distributor Satish Anand confirmed that Abir Gulaal was not released in Pakistan.

Sisasat wrote that the film was banned in Pakistan due to its featuring Indian actress Kapoor in the lead role.

Due to rising tensions between the two countries, Pakistan had decided to block the movie’s release.

Anand also stated that the ban had caused significant losses for the filmmakers, especially given the poor timing of the release following the Pahalgam attack.

India had already banned the film Abir Gulaal because it starred Khan.
