Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar to Attend SCO Summit in Pakistan

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is scheduled to visit Pakistan on October 15 to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

The SCO, comprising member nations such as India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, plays a pivotal role in regional economic and security cooperation, positioning itself as one of the largest trans-regional organizations.

This platform offers both Pakistan and India the opportunity to engage in high-level summit discussions.

Last year, India hosted the SCO Summit virtually, with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif participating through video conference.
