India Wins ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Under Rohit Sharma’s Leadership

KL Rahul played a pivotal role in the chase, contributing valuable runs alongside Hardik Pandya

Dubai: India secured their third Champions Trophy title in an impressive fashion, defeating New Zealand in the final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. With a near-perfect run through the tournament, India capped off the victory with an unbeaten performance.

India, chasing a target of 252, reached their goal with two runs to spare, thanks to a match-winning shot from Ravindra Jadeja. With just two runs needed, Jadeja pulled a delivery from O’Rourke to deep square leg for a boundary, sealing the match and the tournament.

KL Rahul played a pivotal role in the chase, contributing valuable runs alongside Hardik Pandya, while Jadeja’s composure in the final moments ensured India’s victory.

Earlier, New Zealand posted a total of 251/7 in their allotted 50 overs, with Daryl Mitchell’s steady 63 and Michael Bracewell’s unbeaten 53 providing a solid foundation. India’s bowlers, including Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav, kept the pressure on, restricting New Zealand’s total.
