India-Pakistan Ceasefire in Effect Until May 12, Says Diplomatic Sources

India’s Aggression Threatens Regional Peace, Warns Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Diplomatic sources have confirmed that the ceasefire between Pakistan and India will remain in effect until noon on May 12, following days of heightened military tensions in the region. The ceasefire comes after Pakistan responded to a series of Indian drone and missile attacks, which Islamabad termed a blatant violation of its sovereignty. Despite the provocation, Pakistan maintained it acted in self-defence under the UN Charter and successfully repelled the attacks, reaffirming its capability to defend its territory and deter further escalation.

According to the sources, India’s continued violations since May 7, including attacks on the night of May 9 and 10, pose a serious threat to both regional and global peace. They described the Indian strikes as a breach of international law and the UN Charter, emphasizing that such actions between nuclear-armed states are dangerous and irresponsible. Pakistan had earlier proposed an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident, but India rejected the offer and chose the path of aggression. Diplomatic sources warned that while Pakistan remains committed to regional peace, it will respond firmly to any future hostilities and will not allow India’s expansionist ambitions to go unchecked.
