Dubai: India secured a comprehensive 90-run victory over Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup match played in Dubai.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first. However, the start of the match was delayed due to rain, resulting in the game being reduced to 49 overs per side.
Batting first, India posted a competitive total of 240 runs, being bowled out in 46.1 overs. Aaron George led the innings with an impressive 85 runs, while Ayush Mahatre contributed 38 and Kanishk Chauhan added a crucial 46.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Siam and Abdul Subhan claimed three wickets each, while Naqab Shafiq picked up two.
In reply, Pakistan struggled in their chase and were dismissed for 150 runs, falling well short of the 241-run target. Huzaifa Ahsan offered resistance with a fighting 70, but received little support from the rest of the batting lineup.

India’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, with Deepesh Devendran starring by taking three wickets for just 16 runs. Kanishk Chauhan and Kishan Singh took two wickets each.
Deepesh Devendran was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling display.
Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan defeated Malaysia, while India registered a win against the UAE in their opening fixtures.
