Harare: (Web Desk) – India secured a spot in the ICC Under-19 World Cup final with a commanding 7-wicket victory over Afghanistan in Harare.

Afghanistan set a challenging target of 311 runs for India in their 50-over innings, finishing at 310 for 4. Opener Faisal played a brilliant knock of 110 runs, while Azirullah remained unbeaten on 101, guiding Afghanistan to a competitive total. For India, Dipesh Devendra and Kanshik Chauhan claimed crucial wickets, but Afghanistan’s batting lineup put up a strong resistance.

In pursuit of the target, India achieved 311 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in just 41.1 overs. Eren George starred with a brilliant 115-run innings, earning him the Player of the Match award. Vibhav Suryavanshi contributed 68 runs, while captain Ayush Mehta added 62. Unbeaten innings from Vihaan Malhotra and Vedant Trivedi further ensured India’s smooth chase and a comprehensive victory.

With this win, India will face the winner of the first semi-final between England and Australia in the final, aiming to claim the U-19 World Cup title.
