Imran Khan’s Eye Health Shows Significant Improvement
Medical Report Confirms Improvement in Imran Khan’s Eye Condition
ISLAMABAD: The medical report of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, 73, has been released following a detailed examination on February 15, 2026. The assessment was conducted by a medical board comprising Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital and Professor Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan of PIMS.


According to the report, Imran Khan’s central macular thickness has improved significantly from 550 to 350, while vision in his right eye has improved from 6/36 to 6/9, a satisfactory stage of recovery. Without corrective glasses, his right eye reads 6/24 and left eye 6/9, while with glasses, vision improves to 6/9 (right) and 6/6 (left).
The report outlines a detailed treatment plan, recommending Nivanac eye drops twice daily for both eyes, Co-Supposit eye drops twice daily for the right eye, and Sustanon Ultra eye drops three times daily for both eyes. Additionally, a second dose of anti-VEGF injection is scheduled, followed by OCT angiography and FFA tests for further diagnosis.
After the medical board’s visit to Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar Khan and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas attended PIMS to receive a detailed briefing from the experts. Imran Khan’s personal physicians, Dr. Asim Yousuf and Dr. Khurram Mirza, were also briefed via phone and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing treatment and follow-up plan. The report was officially signed by both examining doctors.
