IMRAN KHAN TO ‘EXPOSE’ PDM GOVT’S PERFORMANCE

PTI to issue white paper one-year tenure,
We have to get justice,” Khan tells workers.
LAHORE– The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to issue a white paper against the one-year tenure of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-led government.
Sources said PTI chairman Imran Khan will issue the white paper against the coalition government today. The former prime minister will release the points of the white paper in a video link address.
A whitepaper is a persuasive in-depth report on a specific topic that presents a problem and provides a solution. The white paper to be released by PTI will highlight the poor governance of the ruling parties, the oppression of the government and other issues.
The former ruling party is highly critical of the economic performance of its rivals, the parties in the coalition government, accusing them of derailing the country ever since it was ousted from power in April last year.
The party has continuously lashed out at the ruling alliance for making the wrong economic decisions.
Yesterday, the former prime minister lambasted the PML-N supremo, saying that a coward cannot become a leader but becomes Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing the PTI workers and activists who had gathered at Zaman Park for iftar, Imran Khan stated that he is not an Islamic scholar and has learned everything from his life.
The PTI chairman said that no country in the world has experienced a revolution comparable to the one brought by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He cited the Battle of Badr and Khalid Bin Waleed’s leadership as proof that only free people, not slaves, stand for freedom.
Khan added that the revolution brought by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was never again witnessed anywhere in the world. “The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) gave freedom and ensured equality in the society by providing justice.”
Ever since Khan was ousted last year with the then-opposition replacing his administration in the centre through a coalition government, the former premier has been reiterating that his party has faced severe human rights violations and immense injustice and has consistently asked for fresh elections to be held hoping to regain power.
For the past several months since an attempted assassination attack on him in November last year, the PTI chairman has been demanding snap polls in the country with the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led set-up categorically insisting against it citing economic turmoil in the country.
Owing to his demands, his party also dissolved assemblies in provinces where it was in power to pressurise the federal government into conducting polls.
Amid controversial Supreme Court orders, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a schedule to conduct elections in Punjab on May 14, while the PTI has also filed a plea seeking a date for polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa too.
