PTI chief made offer via a mutual businessman friend,
Says DG ISI held presser after his permission
Islamabad(Mudassar Chuhdary)Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Saturday revealed said that Imran Khan has sent him an offer through a person to appoint the new army chief with mutual consultation.
According to the Prime Minister, Khan proposed to appoint the new army chief with his consultation as both sides will give three names each and would agree if a consensus was reached on a single name.
According to the Prime Minister, he turned down this offer.
He disclosed this during a conversation with journalists and vloggers associated with digital journalism in Lahore.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he was also offered by Imran Khan that the date of new elections can also be announced jointly.
He said, “I rejected both of Imran Khan’s offers. I told the person who brought the message to go and tell Imran Niazi that at first he was not acceptable to him for any kind of consultation, now why did he need me?”
Commenting on the high-level presser held by the Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar and Inter-Services Intelligence Chief Nadeem Anjum, the premier said: “General Nadeem Anjum held the press conference with my permission.”
Earlier, Pakistan’s spy chief, along with Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant-General Babar Iftikhar, exposed Khan’s “conspiracy” narrative against the Pakistan Army as well as the country.
The ISI chief said that Khan had offered Gen Bajwa an extension for an indefinite period of time for helping him fail the opposition parties’ no-confidence motion against him.
He said that Imran Khan always stabbed the ones who fostered him. He questioned how come Imran Khan was suddenly ready to sit with them, although he does not even like to shake hands with the opponents.
PM Shehbaz accused that Imran Khan was behind anti-army tweets after Lasbeela helicopter crash tragedy.
