Imran Khan Orders PTI to Resign from All National Assembly Committees

Regarding recent floods in Bonera and other areas, Imran Khan expressed sorrow over the destruction.

Islamabad — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has directed the party to resign from all National Assembly committees.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail alongside two of his sisters, Aleema Khan expressed gratitude towards the party workers who have stood by them for months. She said, “We had been trying to meet Imran Khan for three months but were not allowed. Thankfully, today we met our PTI founder after four months.”

Aleema Khan also shared that meetings took place with lawyers Salman Akram Raja, Barrister Gohar, Ali Zafar, and others. She confirmed that Imran Khan’s health is stable, although he has an eye issue for which a court petition is being filed. Doctors from PIMS Hospital will soon attend to his treatment.

She added that Imran Khan is distressed over the arrest of Sher Shah and Shah Riaz, and that he stated such punishments and disqualifications have never happened before in Pakistan. Imran Khan also criticized Mohsin Naqvi for damaging cricket in the country.

Aleema Khan revealed that Imran Khan instructed the party to resign from all parliamentary committees. He also directed Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja on the by-elections, emphasizing that participating in them should not provide legal legitimacy to the elections.
