Illegal Afghan residents detained in Rahim Yar Khan crackdown

43 Afghans Including Women and Children Arrested During Raids in Rahim Yar Khan

Rahim Yar Khan – (Web Desk) – Police in Rahim Yar Khan have launched a major crackdown on illegal Afghan residents living in the district. Teams from City and Sadiqabad circles carried out raids recently and arrested 43 people. The group included men, women and even small children.

All the detained people have been moved to a special centre. Their cases are now being processed under the law. Police say these people were living in the area without proper documents.

Authorities also took action against brick kiln owners. These owners had reportedly given jobs and shelter to undocumented Afghans. Police say helping illegal residents is a crime and those found doing so will face serious consequences.

District Police Officer Irfan Ali Samo gave a clear warning to the public. He said anyone hiding or supporting illegal residents will not be spared. He also asked ordinary citizens to help police by reporting such cases in their areas.

The DPO made it clear that search operations will continue across the district. The police are targeting both criminal elements and undocumented foreigners. Anyone found giving them shelter or support will also be held responsible under the law.
