Ikram Uddin Praises Pope Francis’ Global Humanitarian Efforts
Italy – The Overseas Ministry’s focal person for Italy, Ikram Uddin, expressed profound sorrow and condolences on the passing of Pope Francis. In a statement to the foreign media, Uddin said that the Christian community, the Vatican, and Pope Francis’ followers around the world are united in their grief. He highlighted that the Christian community in Europe and globally has lost a great spiritual leader, which is deeply regrettable.
Uddin emphasized that Pope Francis’ death is a significant loss to the international community, interfaith harmony, and humanity. He described the late Pope as a symbol of compassion, humility, and peace.
The Overseas Ministry’s focal person further acknowledged Pope Francis’ humanitarian services, which earned him respect and love not only in the Catholic world but globally.
