IHC registrar puts queries on pre-arrest bail petition by Imran Khan
Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) Registrar office of Islamabad High Court put queries on pre-arrest bail petitions filed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan in different cases.
According to the source, the federal government and others have been made party by PTI chief Imran Khan in his pre-arrest bail pleas. In the petitions, Imran took the stance that the cases were registered against him were politically-motivated and based on victimization.
As per details Imran prayed to the court that his pre-arrest bail petitions be accepted and parties concerned should be barred from arresting him. However, the registrar office, objected that Imran had not done biometric for the petitions and how the bail pleas could be filed in the high court before a trial court.
Meanwhile Islamabad police took PTI activists into custody from Srinagar Highway
Furthermore the Islamabad police took several PTI activists including PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s photographer into custody from Srinagar Highway on Monday.
Moreover the arrests followed the arrival of Mr Khan at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for pre-arrest bail in seven terrorism cases. PTI leader Ghulam Sarwar Khan managed to dodge policemen and escaped.
Meanwhile police swung into action after PTI workers violated Section 144 imposed by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to prevent gatherings. On its Twitter handle, the PTI shared video clips of workers’ arrests.
