IHC gives police one additional week to find the missing NCCIA official
A court gives police more time to find a missing cybercrime official and the petitioner.
Islamabad – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The Islamabad High Court has given the police seven more days to find a deputy director from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. This official was reportedly taken by force earlier this month. The court is hearing a plea from his wife, Rozina Usman, who is pleading for her husband’s safe return.
During the hearing, the judge asked the police what they had discovered in the last three days. A senior police officer told the court that their search for the missing official is still ongoing. He also revealed that the official had been working on a well-known case involving a popular YouTuber.
In a surprising turn, the police informed the court that the missing man’s wife, Rozina Usman, also cannot be found. They said her phone is switched off and her house was locked when officers visited. Her lawyer stated that she received a threatening call demanding she drop her court case before she disappeared.

The police requested more time to look into the digital records of the missing official. They believe that checking his WhatsApp messages could provide important clues about what happened. The court agreed to this request and gave the police another week to find the missing deputy director. The next hearing will be held on the coming Friday.
