IHC Dismisses PTI Founder’s Tyrian Case as Inadmissible
Due to the absence of Chief Justice’s signature on the decision, an inquiry was ordered into the matter.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court‘s larger bench has upheld the decision declaring the Tyrian case against the PTI founder as inadmissible.
Details reveal that the larger bench, headed by Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, delivered the verdict. The bench also included Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz.
Previously, the bench led by Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, which included Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, had been disbanded. Without consulting the Chief Justice, Justices Kayani and Tahir independently declared the Tyrian case inadmissible and uploaded their decision.
Due to the absence of Chief Justice’s signature on the decision, an inquiry was ordered into the matter. Subsequently, the Chief Justice’s office removed the two judges’ decision from the website and announced the formation of a new bench through a press release.
