Islamabad High Court Suspends Bail Cancellation Against Najaf Hameed

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday barred the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from arresting Najaf Hameed, brother of former spymaster Faiz Hameed, in a fraud case, while also suspending the decision of a special judge central to cancel his pre-arrest bail, reported 24NewsHD TV.

The FIA had filed an application seeking the cancellation of Najaf’s bail, which was initially accepted by the trial court. In response, Najaf approached the IHC challenging the cancellation of his bail.

During the hearing, his counsel informed the court that the trial court had granted bail to his client after thoroughly considering all arguments, but the order was later withdrawn without providing any reason.

Justice Inam Ameen Minhas issued notices to the state and other parties involved in the case, seeking their replies before the next hearing.
