IG NHMP Pins Ranks on Newly Promoted Inspectors
He informed that the promoted officers belong to Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Punjab
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk/ Our Correspondent) -Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP), Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, pinned ranks on officers newly promoted from Sub-Inspector to Inspector during a rank-wearing ceremony held at the Hamaid Shakeel Auditorium, NHMP Lines Headquarters, Islamabad.
The ceremony was organized in pursuance of the decisions of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC). A special prayer was offered at the outset for the martyrs of the force. DIG Headquarters Afzal Ahmed Kausar delivered the welcome address.
Senior police officers including Deputy Inspectors General and Senior Superintendents of Police attended the ceremony, along with the promoted officers and their families. The IG NHMP personally pinned the ranks on the promoted Inspectors and congratulated them on their achievement.
Addressing the gathering, Inspector General Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry said that promotions are a recognition of officers’ hard work, dedication, and professional excellence. He emphasized that promotion is an important milestone in an officer’s career, bringing greater responsibilities and higher expectations in public service.
The IG expressed confidence that the newly promoted officers would continue to perform their duties with integrity, professionalism, and commitment, contributing further to improving traffic discipline and public facilitation across the country. He also highlighted the importance of training, stating that capacity building and modern, quality training remain top priorities of NHMP.

The IG further noted that the Motorway Police’s strong reputation is built on courteous behaviour, impartial enforcement of the law, and timely assistance to road users, stressing that maintaining public trust is a collective responsibility of all ranks.
