IESCO Faces Rise in Electricity Complaints Amid Heatwave, Operations Teams Working Round-the-Clock
IESCO Mobilizes Teams to Tackle Power Issues Amid Heatwave
Islamabad — The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) is experiencing a surge in electricity-related complaints due to the ongoing extreme heat and high humidity affecting the region, said CEO Muhammad Naeem Jan.
With soaring temperatures leading to increased power consumption, the load on the power distribution network has intensified, resulting in more frequent faults and tripping on 11kV feeders. This has also caused a rise in customer complaints related to individual connections and transformers.
To address the situation, IESCO’s Operations, GSO, and Construction teams have been fully mobilized to ensure uninterrupted power supply and timely resolution of all issues. CEO Naeem Jan commended the dedication of line staff working tirelessly under scorching conditions, calling them the company’s most valuable asset.
He also directed all Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) to strictly monitor their complaint offices, emphasizing that 100% of customer calls to complaint centers must be promptly attended to and resolved.
Customers experiencing electricity issues are urged to report complaints via their local complaint offices, the IESCO Helpline at 118, or the Capital City Management Cell (CCMC) numbers 051-9252933-34.
