IESCO Announces Annual Power Distribution System Maintenance Schedule
The scheduled maintenance shutdowns, led by IESCO’s Grid System Operation (GSO), Construction, and Operation Directorates, will begin from October 15, 2025.
Islamabad — The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has released its schedule for temporary power shutdowns as part of its Annual System Maintenance Program, aimed at maintaining and upgrading the region’s power distribution infrastructure.
According to an official spokesperson, maintenance and balancing work will be conducted on over 114 grid stations, where both power and distribution transformers are installed. In addition, more than 1,300 11 kV feeders will undergo routine maintenance, along with tree trimming near feeders to ensure a safe and uninterrupted power supply.

The scheduled maintenance shutdowns, led by IESCO’s Grid System Operation (GSO), Construction, and Operation Directorates, will begin from October 15, 2025. The initiative is part of IESCO’s broader efforts to enhance system reliability, prevent overloading and tripping, and prepare for increased electricity demand during the summer season.
The spokesperson emphasized that this program is crucial for system upgradation, transformer and feeder load balancing, and the long-term efficiency and stability of the power distribution network.
