The legendary Indian crime series CID is making a comeback, sparking excitement among fans.
Originally launched in 1998, CID quickly captured audiences with its suspenseful plots and unforgettable characters. Iconic roles such as ACP Pradyuman (played by Shivaji Satam), Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), Inspector Daya (Dayanand Shetty), and Dr. Salunkhe (Narendra Gupta) became fan favorites, solidifying the show’s place as a cultural phenomenon.
According to reports from Indian media, Sony TV recently revealed *CID*’s return with a nostalgic teaser starring Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava.
The teaser opens with a suspenseful scene, showing an injured Abhijeet and ACP Pradyuman emerging from a police van as the sound of a ticking bomb heightens the tension.
An official promo will air on October 26, promising an exhilarating reintroduction to the beloved series.
Created by B.P. Singh, CID ran for over two decades, producing a remarkable 1,547 episodes before its finale in 2018. With the revival, fans hope to see some lingering cases resolved, including the famous “Barbosa’s ‘The Eye’” mystery, which many are eager to see concluded.
