ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Opening ceremony and squad details

LAHORE: The opening ceremony for the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy is likely to take place on February 16 or 17, sources revealed on Wednesday.

All eight teams and their captains will take part in the opening ceremony, alongside a press conference that will be held by the skippers on the same day, according to sources. However, the venue for the ceremony is yet to be decided.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has informed the ICC about their plans regarding the ceremony, but it will be the latter organisation that will make the final decision.

In regards to visas, the PCB will issue them for all teams, commercial partners, ICC officials, and media. Visa arrangements began last week according to sources.

An ICC delegation of broadcasters and logistic personnel have also been visiting the three stadiums that the tournament will take place in including the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National Stadium in Karachi, and the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
