“I Never Made Couple Videos to Get Fame”: Areeka Haq

ISLAMABAD: TikTok star and model Areeka Haq has clarified that she never made couple videos with any boy to gain popularity, emphasizing that her success came solely through dedication and effort.

During a podcast, the influencer discussed her journey on social media, how she manages her personal and public image, and the challenges she faced while dealing with online trolling.

Areeka said she has always been mindful of what to share online. While she does show parts of her life to followers, her personality among close friends and at home is different. She knew from the beginning how much of her personal life to reveal.

The TikToker stressed that she does not intend to make her private life public, choosing instead to keep her boundaries clear.

Facing criticism and trolling

Areeka recalled working in a music video with singer Asim Azhar, which drew criticism from some social media users. The experience left her depressed and gave her firsthand insight into how online trolling works.

Later, she realized that critics often target those who achieve success because they themselves could not reach that level.

The influencer revealed that in the early days of her fame, other TikTokers frequently used her name to go viral, something she did not appreciate.

She made it clear that she never collaborated in couple videos as a strategy to gain followers. Instead, she focused on building her own identity, saying she disliked when people tried to associate her name with others.
