‘I Ignore the Distractions,’ Says Mawra Hocane on Handling Criticism

“If I spend time thinking about what will happen, I will always be uneasy,” said the star.

ISLAMABAD: Popular Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane has lately appeared in a candid session with Times of India, during which the star shared her opinion over the challenges Pakistani stars face after collaborating in Bollywood films. The star said about her own experience: “I don’t take it personally. I block the noise around my work. I love to do what I do.”

Mawra, who shared the screen with popular Indian actor Harshvardhan Rane in the 2016 Indian film Sanam Teri Kasam, which has garnered huge success during its re-released, lately, said that she does not let the criticism affect her, adding that it has nothing to do with actors instead it is completely producer’s headache to choose a cast and face backlash which is sad.

“If I spend time thinking about what will happen, I will always be uneasy,” said the star.

Mawra said that she does not take things personally as she believes if something is meant to happen, it definitely will.

The actress’s above-mentioned remarks follows Pakistani star Fawad Khan’s upcoming film Abir Gulaal’s released controversy as it has been strongly opposed in Maharashtra due to the male star’s Pakistan nationality.

Fawad Khan has made his return to Bollywood by collaborating with Indian actress Vaani Kapoor for Upcoming Bollywood film Abir Gulaal.
