Fatal Attack Follows Failed Reconciliation Attempt After Six Months of Separation
In Pakpattan, a husband has allegedly killed his estranged wife with an axe following a failed attempt to reconcile.
The victim, Hamira Bibi, had moved back to her parental home six months earlier after a disagreement with her husband, Shahzad. He visited her family’s house to convince her to return, but Hamira refused to go with him.
Enraged by her rejection, Shahzad reportedly broke into the house late at night and attacked her with an axe, inflicting multiple fatal injuries. After the attack, he fled the scene.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation, while Hamira’s body has been sent for an autopsy.
