The alleged document, dated January 17, 2026, instructs institutions not to withhold admissions or examinations due to low attendance and warns of legal action for non-compliance.

The notification, reportedly signed by a section officer named Babar Khan Gondal, has been confirmed as false by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The HEC has urged students, teachers, and educational institutions to exercise caution and avoid sharing unverified information. The commission emphasized that official announcements should only be taken from authorized websites and verified social media channels.
