Heavy Rains and Landslides Cause Widespread Damage in Gilgit-Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan Landslides Wreck 15 Homes, Damage 59 Others; Karakoram Highway Disrupted
Landslides have occurred in various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, causing the Karakoram Highway to be blocked at several points. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Ghizer, in the village of Yangle in Ghizer District, landslides have completely destroyed 15 houses and partially damaged 59 others.

Additionally, 45 cattle pens have been completely affected and 20 partially affected by the landslides. The administration reports that 11 houses in Ashkoman, Haim, and Yasin have also been affected by landslides, and cattle pens have sustained damage.
