According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, wind speeds reached up to 90 km/h on Shara-e-Faisal and 97 km/h in Maripur. Strong gusts uprooted trees and caused billboards to collapse, trapping individuals in some areas and prompting ongoing rescue efforts.

The most tragic incident occurred near Baldia’s Moach Goth, where a wall collapse claimed 11 lives and left others injured. Rescue teams shifted victims to hospitals and continued search operations amid fears that more people might be trapped. In a separate incident, one person died after being struck by lightning near Shah Latif. Additional injuries were reported in Quaidabad following another wall collapse.

Weather officials stated that while no further rain is expected overnight, another spell of rain, thunderstorms, and possible hail may occur after tomorrow afternoon. Light rain is also forecast for the first day of Eid, with more showers likely in the coming days due to a westerly weather system.
