ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rain and snowfall across several parts of the country, with unsettled weather expected to persist through today.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall are likely in multiple districts. Continuous showers in Peshawar have already brought temperatures down to around 16°C.
Heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms is expected in northern علاقوں such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, and Shangla. Similar weather conditions are forecast for Buner, Kohistan, Malakand, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, while thunderstorms may also affect Balakot, Haripur, Mardan, and Nowshera.

Rain is expected in tribal districts including Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Swabi, and Charsadda. Snowfall is also anticipated in the province’s high-altitude mountainous regions.
Recent rainfall data shows significant precipitation, with 47 mm recorded in Cherat, 45 mm in Dir, 42 mm in Malam Jabba, and 43 mm at Peshawar Airport. Other areas including Bacha Khan International Airport, Dera Ismail Khan, Parachinar, Bannu, Kakul, and Saidu Sharif also received moderate rainfall.
In Balochistan, light rain and thunderstorms are expected in Zhob, Qila Saifullah, and Muslim Bagh.
Meanwhile, in Lahore, winds are blowing at around 10 km/h, with chances of rain at any time during the day. The Meteorological Department has indicated that wet weather conditions may continue across different parts of the country through April 4.
