MAKKAH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has issued a cautionary advisory to Hajj pilgrims as they prepare to perform their sacred duty amidst anticipated extreme heat conditions this year.
According to health officials, the extreme heat poses a significant challenge that could potentially impact the well-being of pilgrims during Hajj. The Meteorological Department has forecasted an increase of one and a half degrees Celsius in the average temperature across Makkah and other holy sites during the pilgrimage.
Authorities from the Meteorological Department have projected maximum temperatures reaching up to 44 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of heat waves occurring during this period. In response, the Ministry of Health has advised pilgrims to take necessary precautions to safeguard their health.
