HBL Pakistan Super League 11 Arrives In Karachi With 22 Matches
Karachi: (Web Desk)- The HBL Pakistan Super League 11 is set to captivate cricket fans at the iconic National Bank Stadium, Karachi, starting Wednesday, 8 April. The first 14 matches were successfully completed at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
All eight HBL PSL teams have now arrived in Karachi, with Rawalpindiz and Multan Sultans joining the fray on Tuesday afternoon.
After 14 matches, Multan Sultans top the points table with four wins out of five. They are followed by Karachi Kings (6 points), Islamabad United (5 points), Lahore Qalandars (4 points), Peshawar Zalmi (3 points), and Quetta Gladiators (2 points). Rawalpindiz and Hyderabad Kingsmen are still chasing their first victory.
Sahibzada Farhan leads the batting charts with 232 runs in five matches and remains the only centurion so far. Hasan Ali heads the bowling stats with eight wickets.
Sultans bowl first against Pindiz after winning PSL toss
Karachi will host 22 matches from 8 to 28 April, beginning with Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Peshawar Zalmi. On 9 April, fans can enjoy a double-header with Lahore Qalandars facing Islamabad United and Karachi Kings taking on Peshawar Zalmi.
The National Bank Stadium has previously hosted 75 PSL matches between 2018 and 2025, including four finals in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024. Islamabad United won the inaugural 2018 final against Peshawar Zalmi at this venue.
Historically, Islamabad United are the most successful team in Karachi with 17 wins from 23 matches, followed by Karachi Kings with 14 wins in 35 games. Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators each have 11 wins from 26 games, while Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars have 11 wins in 20 matches and 10 wins in 20 matches, respectively.
Babar Azam leads the run charts at the National Bank Stadium with 1,245 runs in 27 games, and Hasan Ali has claimed the most wickets at the venue with 45 in 29 matches. The highest team total here is 238-3 by Islamabad United against Lahore Qalandars in 2019, while the lowest is 101 all out by Multan Sultans against Karachi Kings in 2023.
