Hasan Nawaz calls Pakistan’s T20 team the best after UAE win
Young batter Hasan Nawaz is full of confidence after Pakistan's strong start to their T20 series in the UAE.
SHARJAH – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) -Pakistan’s new batter, Hasan Nawaz, says he is part of the country’s “best T20 team.” He said this after they won their first two games in a T20 series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This series helps the team prepare for the Asia Cup, which starts on September 9th. Pakistan began strongly with big wins over Afghanistan and the UAE. Many different players have helped the team win.
First, bowler Haris Rauf and captain Salman Ali Agha led the win against Afghanistan. Then, batters Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz both scored half-centuries to beat the UAE.
In the match against the UAE, Pakistan scored over 200 runs. Saim Ayub started strongly, and Hasan Nawaz finished with powerful hitting. Bowler Hasan Ali then took three wickets to secure the win, even though UAE’s Asif Khan scored a quick 77 runs.
The team is getting ready for next year’s T20 World Cup with a new coach, Mike Hesson. They are playing without older stars Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Hasan Nawaz said this young team is ready for any challenge.
“Young players work very hard, even when they are not playing,” he told reporters. “I truly feel this is Pakistan’s best T20 team. Our plan is to win this series and then the Asia Cup.”

Hasan Nawaz scored a fast 56 runs from just 26 balls, including six sixes. He said he could play freely because Saim Ayub had already built a strong foundation.
“Saim and Sahibzada Farhan had already set the tone,” he explained. “My goal was to help us reach a big target. I just played for the team.”
The team also made changes to its bowling lineup, resting key players. Hasan Nawaz said this shows that every player on the team is important and ready to play.
“I don’t see it as ‘bench strength.’ All our players are equal. Hasan Ali is a senior player; you can’t call him a backup,” the 23-year-old said.
