Harish Rauf Criticizes Criticism of Pakistan Team, Calls for More Support for Young Players

Rauf Stresses Support for Young Players to Succeed at International Level

Islamabad – Pakistan’s fast bowler, Haris Rauf, expressed concerns over the culture of criticism surrounding the national cricket team, stating that people in Pakistan often wait for the team to lose so they can criticize.

After the second T20I against New Zealand, Rauf subtly criticized former cricketers, remarking that the public is quick to point fingers whenever the team faces defeat. He emphasized that the conditions in New Zealand are challenging, and every player is striving to give their best performance. Rauf also mentioned that New Zealand’s batters played some good shots, and luck was also on their side.

He further highlighted that the team is trying to adapt to modern cricket and meet its evolving demands. When asked about the support for young players, Rauf stressed that without backing emerging talents, it would be difficult for them to progress.

Rauf acknowledged that it is a challenge for players coming directly from domestic cricket to perform at the international level, and therefore, they should be given some time to adjust. He emphasized that it is important to provide young players with the necessary support to help them develop and succeed.
