Haris Rauf Likely to Be Rested for Upcoming South Africa Match Due to Fitness Concerns
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf is set to be rested for the team’s upcoming match against South Africa on February 12, as the management remains cautious about his fitness, sources confirmed on Sunday.
Rauf, who experienced rib discomfort during Pakistan’s recent clash with New Zealand, has shown signs of improvement but continues to be under medical observation. The final decision regarding his participation will depend on the results of his MRI reports.
The fast bowler was forced to leave the field during his seventh over against New Zealand, unable to complete his spell due to pain. Salman Ali Agha stepped in to finish the over in Rauf’s absence.
