Haris Khokhar denies wife Nabiha’s abuse allegations

Haris Khokhar defends family, denies Nabiha Ali Khan’s allegations

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Haris Khokhar, husband of Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan, has denied her recent claims on social media that she was mentally tortured by her in-laws.

Addressing allegations about Dr. Nabiha’s well-being, Haris stated that a change in appearance does not automatically prove mistreatment, urging people to compare her photos before and after marriage to assess her happiness.

He also refuted claims that she was mistreated at home, including reports of receiving meals in bed or having staff wash her clothes, and said he has evidence, including CCTV footage, to support his version of events. Haris denied that she was evicted, insisting the footage shows she packed her belongings and left voluntarily.

Defending his family’s honor, he emphasized that no disputes occurred at home and that Dr. Nabiha was respected and honored. He added that making baseless accusations reflects poorly on character, and ultimate justice rests with God.

Haris further shared a philosophical note, saying a woman’s emotions or tears do not automatically indicate truth, just as a man’s inability to cry does not prove insensitivity. He stressed that strength and sincerity cannot be judged solely by outward expressions.

The statement comes after Dr. Nabiha appeared on a Ramadan television transmission hosted by Fiza Ali, where she alleged two months of mental and physical torture by her in-laws. She claimed she sacrificed much for her marriage but was mistreated and eventually forced to leave her husband’s home.

In the viral clip, Dr. Nabiha questioned Haris about why her life had been “ruined,” describing the mental stress as more painful than any other suffering and highlighting concerns for other women who may face similar situations. She became visibly emotional while discussing her marital challenges and the lack of support she experienced.
