Hania Amir Appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador

ISLAMABAD: UN Women Asia and Pacific Regional Director Christine Arab has appointed actress Hania Amir as the new Goodwill Ambassador in Pakistan to promote safe and inclusive digital and financial environments for women and girls.

Welcoming Hania to the role, Christine Arab encouraged her to actively contribute to this mission. Speaking on the occasion, Hania Amir emphasized the need to redefine online behavior and challenge harmful social norms so that women and girls can work, study, and express themselves without fear.

She added that true empowerment is only possible when safety is guaranteed, whether online or offline.
