ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has issued a formal statement clarifying that he has no involvement in the ongoing money laundering investigation concerning his sister, Dr. Fazeela Abbasi.
Taking to Instagram, Hamza shared an updated disclaimer, writing: “Updated version of my statement for more clarity. Thank you.” He emphasized that he is not under investigation, is not a party to the case, and has no connection to his sister’s legal or professional matters.
He expressed full support for Dr. Fazeela, praising her as a highly accomplished professional whose integrity deserves recognition. Hamza also requested that the media and public avoid seeking comments from him, as the matter is sub-judice and solely related to his sister.
Warning against further media speculation, he added that any continued association of his name with the case could prompt him to pursue legal action.

The clarification comes amid serious allegations against Dr. Fazeela Abbasi, with reports suggesting transfers of around Rs25.2 billion to accounts in Dubai and the United States. Investigators have indicated a turnover exceeding Rs25 billion across 22 accounts linked to her, raising questions about undeclared income.
Recently, the Islamabad sessions court rejected her interim bail plea, and special police teams have been assigned to track the accused as the investigation continues.
Hamza’s statement underscores that his personal and professional life remains separate from his sister’s legal troubles, while also expressing solidarity during this high-profile controversy.
