Islamabad-PTI Stays Neutral on Faiz Hameed’s Fate, Calls it Army’s Internal Matter, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared the action against former ISI chief Faiz Hameed an internal matter of the military, refraining from commenting on the situation. PTI’s stance indicates a neutral position, acknowledging the military’s autonomy in handling its internal affairs.
In response, PTI Chairman’s legal representative, Barrister Gohar, emphasized that the military’s actions are strictly internal. He stated that the Pakistan Army is a disciplined and organised institution with its own procedures for dealing with both serving and retired officers.
He further added that the army’s internal actions cannot be questioned by external entities.
By labeling it an internal military matter, PTI is distancing itself from the controversy surrounding Faiz Hameed’s fate. This approach allows the party to maintain a delicate balance, avoiding any potential conflict with the military establishment.
