Govt’s Responsibility to Facilitate PTI-Imran Meeting: Sardar Ayaz Sadiq

Asad Qaiser Accuses Khawaja Asif and Maryam Nawaz of Sabotaging PTI Talks

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated on Saturday that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure a meeting between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negotiation committee and party founder Imran Khan. Sadiq clarified that he would call for a meeting of the negotiation committee when requested, but noted that neither the government nor opposition had approached him to convene such talks.

Sadiq further explained that he had informed PTI leader Asad Qaiser on January 4 about the government’s awareness of PTI’s demand for a meeting with Imran Khan. He suggested that PTI leaders could directly engage with government representatives like Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah if they wished to proceed with negotiations.
