Pakistan Advises Citizens to Avoid Non-Essential Travel to Iran

ISLAMABAD (Mudassar Ch/ Web Desk)- The Government of Pakistan has issued a travel advisory for its citizens in view of the current situation in Iran, in which it has been directed to avoid unnecessary travel to Iran.

Pakistanis in Iran have also been advised to exercise extreme caution.

The advisory issued by the Foreign Office states that Pakistani citizens should avoid unnecessary travel to Iran due to the current situation and postpone their travel until the situation returns to normal.

The Foreign Office says that Pakistani citizens who are already in Iran should exercise extreme caution and limit their movements.

According to them, Pakistani citizens living in Iran can contact Pakistani diplomatic staff in any emergency.

The Foreign Office further said that the Government of Pakistan is constantly monitoring the situation and necessary steps are being taken to protect its citizens.

Due to the current situation in Iran, the Pakistani Embassy has also established a Crisis Management Unit to facilitate citizens.

According to Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran, Mudassar Tipu, contact is possible 24 hours a day to assist Pakistani citizens, and for this purpose, contact numbers and landline numbers of relevant officials have also been provided so that immediate assistance can be provided in case of emergency.
