ISLAMABAD: The government has announced revised prices of petroleum products for the remainder of December, issuing an official notification on Monday.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been kept unchanged. Petrol will continue to be sold at Rs263.45 per litre.
In contrast, the government has reduced the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs14 per litre. Following the reduction, the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs265.65 per litre.
The new prices will come into effect from 12:00 midnight tonight and will remain applicable until December 31.
The notification confirming the revised fuel prices has been formally issued. The reduction in diesel prices is expected to provide some relief, particularly to the transport and agricultural sectors, where diesel is widely used.
