Govt Announces Increase in Petroleum Prices

The new prices will remain in effect for the next 15 days.

Islamabad: The federal government has announced a rise in the prices of petroleum products for the first half of January 2025.

According to the official notification issued on Tuesday, the price of petrol has been increased by 56 paisas per liter, bringing the new price to Rs. 252.66 per liter. Additionally, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has seen a significant hike of Rs. 2.96 per liter, now set at Rs. 258.34 per liter.

The new prices will remain in effect for the next 15 days. The government’s decision comes amid fluctuating global oil prices, and it is expected to impact transportation costs and consumer prices nationwide.
