Governor Kundi rejects TTP narrative, urges KP government to back state policy amid worsening security situation and daily terror attacks.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday strongly criticized the provincial chief minister’s call for proof of cross-border terrorism, calling it “ridiculous” in light of daily attacks on security personnel and civilians.
Speaking at a press conference, the governor said Afghan territory was being used to carry out militant activities and urged the KP government to drop what he termed the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) narrative. He stressed that the provincial leadership should stand firmly with the state’s security policy.
Kundi also warned that the law-and-order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was worsening and urged the provincial administration to priorities restoring peace, noting that development and effective use of resources are only possible in a stable and secure environment.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-backed KP Governor Kundi questioned what kind of negotiations could be held with those who, in his words, “do not recognize the Constitution of Pakistan.”
Kundi further urged Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used for terrorism.
He said Pakistan’s law-enforcement agencies were making significant sacrifices to ensure peace in KP, adding that the world today acknowledged the professionalism and commitment of the Pakistan Army.
The governor criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership for issuing negative and attention-seeking statements in order to remain in the news.
He said he was surprised by KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s behavior in Karachi despite the Sindh government providing him full protocol during his visit.
