Government Announces Price Cuts on Pulses and Sugar

Significant Reductions Aim to Provide Relief to Consumers Amid Rising Costs

The government has announced notable reductions in the prices of various pulses and sugar.

Since September, the price of black chickpeas has decreased by Rs50 per kilogram. Gram dal, which was previously priced at Rs400 per kilogram, is now available at Rs360.

Mash dal has also become more affordable, with its price dropping from Rs500 to Rs425 per kilogram. Additionally, first-grade kabuli chickpeas have seen a decrease, now priced at Rs355, down from Rs400.

Small kabuli chickpeas have also experienced a price reduction, moving from Rs320 to Rs295 per kilogram. In the sugar market, the wholesale price has settled at Rs122, while retail prices remain stable at Rs125.
