Federal Government Declares Eid ul Fitr Holidays From March 20

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The federal government has announced public holidays on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday.

The notification stated that Shehbaz Sharif approved public holidays on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, in celebration of Eid ul Fitr.

Since March 22 falls on a Sunday and March 23 is already a public holiday for Pakistan Day, citizens will effectively enjoy a four-day break.

The holidays will apply to government offices observing both five-day and six-day working schedules.

The extended break is expected to allow people across Pakistan to celebrate Eid festivities with their families while also marking Pakistan Day on March 23.
