Arrangements will also be made for students to take an online certification examination after completing their training.
ISLAMABAD: (News Desk) – A new Google Gemini learning and certification programme is set to be launched for students in government schools, with pupils from Grades 8 to 10 receiving training in artificial intelligence and the practical use of Gemini.
The programme will introduce students to key AI concepts, prompt engineering and the practical applications of Google Gemini. Government schools will also establish Gemini Academies and organise Creative Hours to provide students with opportunities to develop their digital and creative skills.
The programme will also focus on AI safety, ethics and responsible use, enabling students to understand how to use artificial intelligence securely and appropriately.

Separately, a Be Internet Aware programme will be introduced for students in Grades 6 to 8 to promote safer and more informed use of the internet.
School heads have been directed to maintain records of students’ participation and activities under the Gemini programme. Arrangements will also be made for students to take an online certification examination after completing their training.
As part of the broader digital learning initiative, students will also be introduced to Google Workspace tools. Gemini-related activities will be conducted during school hours, while the timetable for classes may be adjusted with approval from the school head.
The initiative aims to equip government-school students with early exposure to artificial intelligence and modern digital tools while promoting safe, ethical and responsible technology use.
