Good News for BS Degree Holder Teachers After Years of Waiting
The new policy, once formally approved, will ensure these teachers are no longer overlooked.
ISLAMABAD: Teachers with 4-year BS degrees are finally set to receive long-awaited promotions in Punjab as they’ve been included in a new promotion policy, now prepared for Cabinet Committee approval.
Thousands of BS degree holders had remained deprived of promotions despite being on seniority lists for years. Many have been waiting for promotions for as long as eight years.
Their exclusion from earlier promotion policies had sparked widespread frustration among qualified teaching staff. The new policy, once formally approved, will ensure these teachers are no longer overlooked.

It is expected to provide a clear pathway for career advancement to those who had completed 4-year BS degrees but were previously sidelined.
Officials say this move aims to eliminate discrepancies between BS and other degree holders in the education sector. Teachers believe this is a long-overdue correction that will boost morale and improve fairness in the promotion system.
