Gold Prices Hit Record High in Pakistan

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs18,090

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Gold prices soared to a historic peak in Pakistan on Wednesday, recording an unprecedented surge across the local bullion market. The price of 24-karat gold per tola jumped sharply by Rs21,100 to reach a new all-time high of Rs551,662.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs18,090 to settle at Rs472,961, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs16,583 to Rs433,563, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Silver prices also followed an upward trajectory, with 24-karat silver per tola climbing by Rs271 to Rs11,911, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs232 to Rs10,211. On the international front, gold prices surged by $211 to hit a fresh global record of $5,293 per ounce, while silver prices rose by $2.71 to $114.36 per ounce, the association reported.
