Gold Price Drop Pakistan: 24-Karat Tola Falls by Rs3,000 Today
Local gold and silver rates slip on Thursday, while international prices also move lower, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Pakistan – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – A gold price drop Pakistan buyers will notice came on Thursday, as rates in the local market went down. The 24-karat per-tola price fell by Rs3,000 and settled at Rs438,636.
The new rates were shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Many shoppers and traders follow these figures every day before they buy or sell.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also came down. It lost Rs2,572 and reached Rs376,059.
Lower-purity gold saw a similar fall. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold dropped by Rs2,358 to Rs344,733.
The trend was not limited to the local market. In the international market, gold fell by $30 and moved to $4,161 per ounce, the association said.

Silver also lost value on Thursday. The price of silver per tola declined by Rs50 and stood at Rs6,528.
For smaller buyers, the price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs43 to Rs5,596.
Global silver followed the same path. Its price slipped by $0.50 and reached $60.50 per ounce.
Gold is a popular choice in Pakistan for weddings, gifts and long-term savings. Because of this, even a small change in the rate gets quick attention from families and jewellers.
A fall in price may give some buyers a better chance to make a purchase. Still, rates can change from one day to the next, so it is wise to check the latest figures before you buy.
Shoppers should also ask the jeweller about making charges and the purity of the gold. These costs can change the final amount you pay.
